What Does Code Feel Like?
In Conversation with Zach Lieberman
February 12th at 5:30PM
Join us for an evening with artist, coder and avid collaborator Zach Lieberman. Lieberman, one of the most exciting voices in digital media and the artist behind our current exhibit Future Sketches, will be sharing his process and insights in a one-night-only artist talk. Listen in as an innovative voice for creative coding details his work and artistic vision.
Zach Lieberman has made a career creating digital poetry through code, technology and theory. His wide range of skills and interests is on full display in ARTECHOUSE DC's newest exhibition, Future Sketches, exploring how the body, voice and gesture can be transformed in expressive ways. Lieberman creates new forms of expression and play, with a simple goal: to surprise and inspire the viewer by breaking down the boundaries between the visible and invisible. As an artist, researcher and educator, Lieberman will draw on over a decade of work and research in the field of media art to speak about his creative process and ideas of our technology-based future.
Lieberman is the founder of the NYC School For Poetic Computation, a low-cost school where students can find a mixture of artist residency and intensive seminar. SFPC examines how electricity, code and theory can be used to make poetry. All proceeds from tickets sold for this talk will be given to the school to support future generations of creative coders and cutting-edge exploration.
